Silver Screen Paint Reviews

AV Factory

The ultra-smooth finish and image quality really impressed me. To get the best results, you’ll need a high-quality 3D projector. I’m using an Epson 5050UB, and it truly maximises the potential of the painted screen

FAQ's

This product can only be spray-applied. It can never be applied by roller or brush. Simply spray the paint onto desired smooth surfaces.

The Sound Absorption Coefficient (SAC) measures how much sound energy a material absorbs when sound waves pass through it. In our testing, SAC was measured using a 12mm gypsum board, a common building material.

SAC values can vary depending on the frequency of the sound waves passing through the material. Different frequencies have different wavelengths, which interact with materials in unique ways. As a result, SAC values are typically presented as a range rather than a fixed number. Our test results are as follows:Unpainted gypsum board: α = 0.04–0.07 Painted gypsum board: α = 0.04–0.07

Since the SAC values remain unchanged after applying our Silver Screen Paint, this confirms that our paint is acoustically transparent. It does not interfere with sound absorption properties, ensuring that audio performance is unaffected when applied to surfaces.

Yes, our full range of Silver Screen Paints is designed to work seamlessly with both 2D and 3D projectors. When used with a 3D projector, the paint accurately preserves the projected image, thus ensuring a fully immersive experience when viewed with 3D glasses.
The gain value of the Silver Screen Paint is the highest in our range by far, designed specifically for 3D projection, because of its unique properties achieved by the silver technology. This means a very high level of light reflectivity without interfering with the polarity of the reflected light delivering an exceptional 3D experience.
3D projectors create a three-dimensional effect by projecting two overlapping images, each with a distinct polarization. These images pass through optical filters, thus ensuring that each projection has a specific polarization. When you wear 3D glasses, each lens blocks one of the images, allowing your left and right eyes to see separate visuals, which your brain combines into a 3D image. For this effect to work properly, the projection screen must maintain the original polarization of the light. Silver Screen Paint is designed to be polarity preserving, meaning it does not alter the polarization of the projected light. This ensures that the 3D visuals remain clear, accurate, and fully immersive, just as intended by the projector.
Well, our Silver Screen Paint is compatible with an array of surfaces such as wood, plaster, wallboards, metal and composites. Additionally, it can be applied on fabrics that are under tension. However, it is important to note that Silver Screen Paint is for interior use only.
Well, it is advisable to apply the Silver Screen Paint on a previously primed or painted surface. Kindly note to prime the bare and untreated surfaces with atleast two coats of Smart White Primer.
Wear a respirator face mask as Silver Screen Paint is a spray applied paint. Use the gloves supplied in the kit while applying the paint. Additionally, safety glasses should be worn. As with any painting process, ensure the room is ventilated.
The recommended lighting setup for Smart Silver Screen Paint is low or medium ambient lighting.
Smart Silver Screen Paints are suitable for use with 3D projectors ( HD, 4K, and 8K Projector) above 3000 lumens.
During the spraying process ensure the area is clear of people as the spraying process like all paint that is spray applied will create a spray mist which with disappear after a few minutes with ventilation after the spraying is completed and the area ventilated it is completely safe. There is a very low odor during the drying process and the VOC level is low.

As with any paint product we recommend wearing gloves during application.

Smart Silver Screen Paint is not flammable, making it suitable for use in schools and offices.

Silver screen paint is designed to enhance light reflectively and image resolution, especially in rooms with ambient light. It is more reflective than white paint, which can help to improve image quality. White projector screen paint, on the other hand, is more suitable for dark rooms or environments with minimal ambient light.

A silver screen is better suited for environments with low to medium ambient light, as it can help to reject that light and improve image quality. A white screen, on the other hand, is better suited for bright rooms or environments with high ambient light.

The flashpoint of the Silver Screen Paint is above 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

The primary use cases for Silver Screen Paint is for 3D projection including home theatres and commercial theatres.

Yes, the Silver Screen Paint is designed for commercial applications, including movie theatres, conference rooms, and museums.

Yes, Silver Screen Paint can be more cost-effective than a traditional screen, especially for large or custom screen sizes.

Typically the process of application is done over two days. Day one is preparation and priming. Day two is spray application of the Silver Screen Paint, however application in one day is possible provided the first coat is touch dry before the application of the second coat.

Minimum 12 Degrees to Maximum 28 Degrees with humidity below 80% which would be considered normal parameters for paint application via spray.

Silver Screen Paint Installation

Silver Screen Paint can only be applied by spray. It can never be applied by roller or brush. Also, airless spray systems are not suitable and must not be used.

To ensure optimal spray performance, apply Silver Screen Paint in a room with a temperature between 12°C and 28°C and humidity below 80%.

Standard airless sprayers are not suitable for application of Silver Screen Paint.

Follow the steps below for applying the paint and getting the best results :
